Type of housing

Plummer block bearing type P / SSP / PPL / PP
Ready for installation. With a long foot for a robust radial attachment with two screws. Ideal for drawn shafts with radial load-ratings.
Plummer block bearing type PA / PW
Ready for installation. Short foot for low profile applications. In the housing base integrated mounting holes allow a direct, space-saving screw with the adjacent construction from below. Ideal for drawn shafts with radial loads.
4 hole flanged housing unit type F / FPL / SSF
Easy installation. Ideal for radial load-ratings. Square design.
4 hole flanged housing unit type FC / PF
Easy installation. Ideal for radial load-ratings. Round design.
3 hole flanged housing unit type PF
Easy installation. Ideal for radial load-ratings. Round design.
3 hole flanged housing unit type PFT
Easy installation. Ideal for radial load-ratings. Triangular design.
2 hole flanged housing unit type FL / SSFL / FLPL / PFL

Bearing Units

Bearing units are two kind of: Ball bearing units and Roller bearing units.
Ball bearing units consist of an insert bearing mounted in a housing. An insert bearing is a deep groove ball bearing with a sphered (convex) outside surface and an extended inner ring that includes a mechanism to lock the unit onto the shaft. The housings have a correspondingly sphered but concave bore.
Roller bearing units (mounted bearing units) are robust, ready-to-mount bearing units that are assembled, lubricated and sealed at the factory for maximum service life.

Material description of housing units

Plastic housings with bearing inserts made of stainless steel
are extremely light, hygienic, economical, corrosion-resistant, damping, lubricated with grease for the food industry and are admissible for a temperature range from -20°C up to +90°C.
Stainless housings with bearing inserts made of stainless steel
are hygienic, corrosion-resistant, lubricated with grease for the food industry, have higher load-ratings and are admissible for a temperature range from -20°C up to +120°C.
Cast iron housings with bearing inserts made of rolling bearing steel
are extremely economical, withstand extremely high loads and are admissible for a temperature range from -10°C up to +120°C.
Miniature housings made of stainless steel or zinc die cast with bearing inserts made of stainless steel or rolling bearing steel
are temperature-resistant from -20°C up to +120°C.
